What are eStatements?

eStatements are an electronic version of your statement and images available for viewing each month via First City Bank's Online Banking service. You can view, save or print your statement right from your computer.

Can I view my check images with my eStatement?


Will I still receive a paper statement?

While you will not be receiving a paper statement, the online statements are designed for printing.

When will I receive my eStatements?

Historically, you have waited for your paper statement to be mailed and waited for mail delivery. eStatements bypass all of this; you will be able to view your statement 3-4 days sooner.

How will I know my eStatements are ready for viewing?

You will receive an email notification letting you know that your statement is available for viewing via your Online Banking account. The email address used for this purpose is the address you supplied at enrollment.

Can I have my eStatements email notification sent to two different email addresses?

We can only send your eStatements notification to one email address; however, you can access your statements via any computer with Internet access by logging in to your Online Banking account.

Will my eStatements look the same as my paper statement?

Yes. Your eStatements look exactly like your paper statement.

How do I view my monthly statements?

After logging in to your Online Banking account, simply click on the "Documents" link.

How long will my statement remain "online"?

You can view your current statement for twelve months.

How do I save my eStatements for future reference?

You can create a folder on your hard drive and move/copy the PDF file into it. Make sure that you periodically backup your data from your hard drive, or save your statements on other media such as a CD-ROM or flash drive.

Can I enroll and view eStatements for all of my accounts?

eStatements are available for both checking and savings accounts. You can also receive your loan payment notices and overdraft/ line of credit statements electronically if you wish

Is there a charge for eStatements?

No, eStatements are free!

Do I have to sign up for Online Banking in order to receive eStatements?


Is my statement information secure?

Your information is protected with the latest security features and requires a password that only you will know, to access your information. First City Bank's eStatements program also uses 128-bit encryption security to ensure that your private information stays private.

Will I be able to print my statement and check images?

Yes. Once you open the statement you will be able to print it just like you print any document on your computer.

How do I sign up for eStatements?

If you already have Online Banking, you can log in and click the "Options" button at the top of the page or if you are an existing customer and not already signed up to use Online Banking, it's FREE and easy to get started!

What is Adobe Reader and why do I need it?

Adobe Acrobat® ReaderTM is free software used for viewing and printing of electronic forms. You will need this software installed on your computer in order for your computer to download, display or print your statement and images. For best results, make sure you have the latest version.

What if I change my email address?

In order to continue receiving your statement notification, you will need to log in to your Online Banking account and use the "Options" button to update your email address, contact us in writing, or drop by one of our branches.

Who should I contact if I don't receive my email notification?

You can email us at or contact your favorite banker.

How do I cancel my eStatements?

You can switch back to the paper version of your statement at any time by providing us with written notice by postal mail, visiting a local branch, or by fax. It may take as long as forty-five (45) days from the bank's receipt of your written notice of cancellation for you to receive your next monthly printed mailed statement, with all subsequent printed and mailed statements arriving monthly thereafter. If eStatements are a feature of a particular account, we reserve the right to convert your account to another type of account with similar features or to charge your account a fee for paper statements as stated in our Fee Schedule.
